From its distinctive hand-drawn animation and grotesque alien art style to its frantic combat and fluid movement, Gennady constantly finds new ways to throw something bizarre at you. Its punishing difficulty and inherently repetitive roguelike structure can occasionally wear thin, but the combination of intense combat, engaging progression and completely unapologetic humor gives the game a personality that is difficult to ignore.
